Yesterday was a lot of fun for me at the Ducharme Building competing with Leanne Gailey to get staff signed up for the new e-mail. Leanne challenged me to see who could get more people signed up between 10:00 a.m. and noon. Suddenly, a routine task had a challenge to it and both of us sought out staff members still not registered. We had a little wager involved to make it interesting; the one who got the most signed up gets treated to dinner at the next administration meetings coming up at the end of March by the other. Unfortunately, Leanne's evil ways triumphed and I owe her a dinner. However, I have the satisfaction of getting two teachers registered who she had tried to help but failed! Those capitals matter in the temporary password! There is a lot of satisfaction though in having fun at work; I even have trouble considering it work when I'm enjoying myself. Thanks Leanne for putting some fun into an otherwise routine day, and I hope all of you find moments of joy while at school that make you feel like you're not really working!
I really appreciate the staff who have taken the time to get registered with the new e-mail and I trust your experiences with it will be as good as mine have been so far. We will organize training sessions to help those struggling with the new e-mail after the break. Hopefully by then, we will have all the staff from both buildings registered. Don't be afraid to play around with it as you can't break it!!!
